First up Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, (D) McAllen; disputes comments made by Othal Brand, Jr., President and General Manager of the Hidalgo County Water Improvement District #3 that his Senate Bill 978 creates a devastating precedent for the future of agriculture in Texas, in this interview at the State Capitol in Austin.

Then Ron sits down with the San Patricio County Farm Bureau President Charles Ring, who says at his 7,000 acre farm, much of which is irrigated by ground water, that Senate Bill 978 is opposed by his members and the Farm Bureau of Texas, because  if the legislature gives the City of McAllen the right to take over agriculture water rights, the precedent will spread across the state with other cities doing the same.
