First Section of Interstate 69 in Texas Opens

On Monday December 5, 2011 The Texas Department of Transportation unveiled new Intersate 69 shields in Robstown, to officially open the first section of the Interstate in Texas. The section is a 6 mile upgrade of US 77 between Robstown and I37 in Calallen Corpus Christi. Above, Ron talks at the unveiling with US Congressman Blake Farenthold and TX State Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa.

They already have one on South Padre Island and on Galveston Island, that leaves only one area on the Texas Gulf Coast without one, Corpus Christi.
